What Is the Texas HCS Program?
Texas Home and Community Based Services (HCS) is a Medicaid 1915(c) waiver program administered by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). The program provides individualized services and supports to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) living in their family homes, in their own homes, or in other community settings like Host Homes and 3-to-4 bed Residential Group Homes.
The overarching mission of HCS is to prevent unnecessary institutionalization and ensure every person with special needs has the opportunity to live, grow, and thrive in their own community.
Services Provided Under Our HCS Contract
Host Home / Companion Care
Living with a certified host family with 24/7 care and community inclusion.
Day Habilitation / ISS
Daily routine, art, education, and socialization at our Angleton center.
Residential Group Homes
3-to-4 bed shared homes with 24/7 awake staff in neighborhood settings.
Supported Home Living
Direct personal care and habilitation delivered in the individual's private home.
Behavioral Support
Assessments and support plans by licensed BCBAs, LPCs, and psychologists.
Specialized Therapies & RN
OT, PT, Speech, Dietary, Registered Nursing assessments, and Dental.
