Host Home / Companion Care services provided by Above & Beyond Caring are person-centered in nature and designed to help individuals with developmental disabilities learn the skills they need for a fulfilling, dignified quality of life. Our host homes are intended to promote self-sufficiency, choice, and active community involvement while enhancing overall physical and emotional well-being.
Similar to our Residential Group Home program, the caregivers in our Host Home program assist people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) with daily life skills, personal care routines, medical appointments, and individualized goals. Host Homes, on the other hand, provide care directly within the home of the caregiver, creating a warmer, more relaxed, and naturally supportive setting.

What Is Included in Host Home / Companion Care?
- 24/7 Individualized Support: Assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Community Inclusion & Outings: Regular participation in church, shopping, recreation, sporting events, and social clubs.
- Health & Medical Coordination: Routine RN assessments, doctor visits, physical therapy appointments, and specialized diet support.
- Life Skills Development: Money management, personal safety, household chores, and vocational readiness skills.
